UPDATE: California Census Campaign Final Week of Action Kicks Off

Please Note: Due to poor visibility and air quality, the sky billboards for the week of September 7 have been rescheduled on a rolling basis from September 10 through September 30.

To ensure safety and visibility for the pilots, we are scheduling flights when the weather improves and smoke clears. We are actively tracking the weather and fires and will provide daily updates on fly and no fly days as they become available. Flight paths will be shared once planes take off.

Thank you all for your patience. We hope you join us in “looking up” to see Census messaging fly over California as we pull together as a community to get all Californians counted while prioritizing the health and safety of our partners.

SACRAMENTO, CA – The California Complete Count – Census 2020 Office (Census Office) and outreach partners are holding a last statewide Census Week of Action, encouraging Census participation, with media interviews, virtual events and more set to take place across the state, all with the goal of reminding Californians why the Census is important and how to complete it.

Plans for the week will focus heavily on earned media, social media, and paid media to amplify the 2020 Census. The Census Office and partners will have opportunities to engage in virtual events and interviews with print and broadcast media statewide to ensure the message reaches all Californians.
